Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Can you get cancer from removing moles with apple cider vinegar?
I'm 15 and i have moles all over my body and ive had 1 removed on the side of my head from a dermotologist because it was irregularly shaped, and im trying to remove some on my body with apple cider vineger, i just started tonight on 3 raised moles, and ive taken cotton soaked in acv and put them on the moles with a bandaid, and someone told me i can get cancer from doing that, is that true? should i stop now?
    @Tink
ACV has been proven to get rid of moles, first you scratch the surface, then put a cotton ball with ACV on it with a bandaid for a few days and it scabs up and falls off

No, ACV will not give you cancer.

  2. QUESTION:
Is there a possible way to get rid of my moles?
I wasn't born with them and they aren't raised they're just spots. Can I bleach them off or something?

    • ANSWER:
i don't see why you would want to get rid of them. people with completely flawless skin are so fake, and a little boring. moles (i prefer to call them beauty marks) are something that make you unique. but if you really don't like them that much, than i would recommend applying apple cider vinegar to the mole. it will sting, but in a few days, the mole should be gone. if you want a remedy that is garunteed to work, than just pay the doctor to get it removed. but i'm warning you, moles go deep into your skin, so when it comes off, there will be a very noticable scar, which you could try to get rid of with vitaman D and makeup. hope i helped:)

  6. QUESTION:
    Home remedies for burns?
Hello, I have recently have tryed the apple cider vinegar treatment (acv for short) to remove a raised mole off my face. It was about the size of an eraser on a pencil. I forgot to protect my skin around that was around the mole. After a couple days of doing the treatment it fell off. and now I have this pink burn thing on my face from the acid of the acv, I don't want my life to be ruiend because of this burn, so do you know any home remedies i can use? My mom just made a appt for a dermatologist in 2 months!!!!!!!!!! :( Sorry if I am confusing I am only 13, i really need help!!!! Thanks!!!

    • ANSWER:
See your health care provider as soon as possible (dermatologist), for consultation. Apply cold water or ice immediately. This reduces the amount of skin damage caused by the burn and also ease pain. The cold should be applied for at least five minutes and continued until pain is relieved or for one hour. Whichever comes first. Be careful not to apply cold so long that the burned area turns numb--that could cause frostbite! Reapply treatment if pain returns.
You may use acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen to reduce pain.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

  7. QUESTION:
My mole/scab was removed with apple cider vinegar, what should I do? There's pink skin underneath?
I put apple cider vinegar on my mole on the back of my night before bed, covering it with a bandaid for 4 nights. It was scabbed over when I woke up in the morning after the last day so I stopped. Sunday, Monday, and yesterday went by and nothing happened. Today I was feeling for it and noticed one side of the scab was raised. I pulled it off all the way (accept the bottom was stuck on the skin) and there was no bleeding whatsoever. Now all that's left is a pink area the excact shape and size the mole was. It also goes in a little, like a very shallow crater.

Is there anything I should be doing as this thing heals? Should I put that neosporin stuff on it or aloe vera or bactine or something? Or will it heal okay by itself? Also how long do you think until it's healed?
***on the back of my neck before bed***
***(....was stuck on the skin so I peeled it off)***

    • ANSWER:
This is new skin forming where there was once a mole/scab. It might be tender to the touch as it heals, but it's nothign to worry about. Just try not to damage the new skin growth.

  8. QUESTION:
Best way to self remove a mole on my penis?
Yes, i said it... and im very embarrased, i know i'm not the only one but i do have a mole down there and i'd really like to remove it but not from a doctor or surgeon. I've heard of a method using vinegar which basically scabs it and your scratch it off from there, it does leave a red mark but it heals over time. I was wondering if Apple cider vinegar, or just white vinegar would remove the mole on my penis. It is hardly raised at all, like you'd think its flat if you saw it...

Will white vinegar work as well, because i don't have any apple cider vinegar?

Thank you please don't respond with, "eww."

    • ANSWER:
Your doctor can remove it safely.

Otherwise you will need to see him if you do it yourself as it can get infected, pus will come, along with pain and agony I can't mention here.

Do it correctly. Call your doctor. Make an appointment. He can do it in the office in a few minutes.

    its slightly smaller though
Anyways, I wanna try dermatend, but before spending that much money are thier other way???
Ive tried the "old school home remedies" such as baking soda and apple cider vinegar, clove of garlic, etc.
Is dermatend the way to go? Or should i see a dermatologist and do surgery? Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
I heard about white vinegar but if that really works, I don't know.
If you really want to get it away you have to have an surgery, but first ask an dermatologist if he knows something different, maybe you don't need an surgery at all..

  10. QUESTION:
Best home remedies for mole removal?
I have about 8 moles on my face I'd like to remove - most of them are flat, a few are very slightly raised. I've had them all my life, and they don't appear cancerous. Anyway, they make me VERY self conscious. I can't get surgery, I'm only 15 and my mom would never let me.
I've heard of the following methods:
    1) Apple cider vinegar
    2) Baking Soda and Castor Oil
    3) Onion Juice

which one would be most effective and least scarring, and do you know any other good methods? I plan remove them over the summer so I don't have to go out in public with bandages all over my face..

    • ANSWER:
